Chelski Barcelona Champions League
Victory for style and beauty as Chelski crash out
At one point there were 4 players on the floor in the penalty
area. Some kind of weird domino effect with Drogbas fall the
most ridiculous as he lay motionless on the ground after having
received slightest contact from Motta. Forget
Motty this was Motta!
Messi limped off injured which was a shame for the game which
was rather boring considering all the pre match hype before
hand. Mourinho can take credit for providing his share of
the entertainment after a series of josticulations and amusing
reactions to the events which were unfolding before his shaking
head with its amazed eyes.
The passion, power and skill which flows through Ronaldinho
was the real match highlight. His goal was superb and his
general play was on a different plain to everyone else once
Messi had left the pitch.
Sven, Rivaldo, Bernie Eccleston were some of the famous faces
in the crowd along with the docile looking Mr Abromavich,
who could be seen looking down from his position in the main
stand down to the managers bench to see what Jose would do
to sort out the small problem of needing at least 2 goals
from the remaining 12 minutes. On
the other hand perhaps he was getting more pleasure from watching
his mans anitcs too?
Jose's answer, having already taken off the ineffective Didier
Diver was to bring on Robert Huth and push Terry up front.
Huth was going to Hoof it up. Suprisingly
this tactic claimed a goal via a penalty which Lampard converted.
Eto'o got a special pat as he left the pitch from the Special
One and Lampard and Ronaldinho looked like 2 people who wanted
to be in the same team. The gossip
surrounding these world class players will build up to a crescendo
in the build up to the World
Cup and beyond.
So Chelski
are out, but you get the feeling that it is only a matter
of time before they do go all the way and win the Champions
League.
